'Thupakki' to fire big in Kerala


That Vijay commands fan following in Kerala is known to all. To cash in on his craze in the 'God's Own Country', plans are on to release 'Thupakki' in maximum number of screens there. If sources are to be believed, this Deepavali release of Vijay will hit 111 screens in Kerala. "This is for the first time a Tamil film is releasing in these many theatres in Kerala," they said.
Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and directed by A R Murugadoss, 'Thupakki' also marks Vijay's entry into Tollywood, as it is simultaneously being released in Telugu under the same title.
Meanwhile in Tamil Nadu, Vijay fans are making grand arrangements to celebrate the movie's release.

SAMRUTHA SUNIL WEDS AKHIL JAYARAJ


Actress Samvrutha Sunil got married to Akhil Jayaraj, a native from Kozhikode Chevarampalam, today at 10.30am. The wedding ceremony was held at the specially erected Pandal on the Payyambalam beach. Directors Lal Jose, Ranjith, actors Ann Augustine, Meera Nandan were present for the wedding.
A reception for the film fraternity will be held on 6 November 2012 at the Le Meridien hotel, Kochi. The marriage was registered earlier at Kozhikode Arya Samajam.Samvrutha was betrothed to Akhil, a California-based Walt Disney Company engineer in January. Akhil and Samvrutha will leave for California on November 21. Samvrutha's last film is 101 Weddings directed by Shafi.
